Frequently Asked Question

How do you setup the Meal Package Module?

For Hotels using Opera PMS, we can help schedule a hourly file export of your Package Forecast/Meal Plan report. Once this is done, latest data is instantly available and no manual preparation of reports are required on a daily basis.

For Hotels not using Opera PMS, please contact us to do the setup.

Once the package forecast file starts coming, the user needs to do one time setup of : 

1. Mapping Package Codes to Restaurants, Meal Plans, Inclusions & Exclusions.

2. Creating Restaurants and Meal Plans that needs to be managed.

3. One time mapping of Reservation codes to the Breakfast Module.

There are 2 ways to mark utilizations :

1. Using Rooms views : This is the super easy view to tap and mark utilizations as the guest enter. 

2. Search, View and Mark Utilization : In case you need to search for a guest by name, room number or confirmation number and then mark utilization, you can use this method.

The Help videos in the application, will help you to do this step by step.

Can a user mark Guest Preferences?

The user can go to the individual guest view and add preferences. This will result in a “Green Leaf” symbol shown against the guest in the Rooms view.

The user can go to the individual guest view and add comments. This will result in a “Blue Chat Bubble” symbol shown against the guest in the Rooms view.

The user can go to the individual guest view and add/view feedback.  This will result in a “Red Line” symbol shown against the guest in the Rooms view.
